A couple of days ago, I came home from work frazzled and ready for some quality shut eye. After being home for only a few minutes, I noticed a small business card that looked something like this:
I was a bit confused, but my sisters quickly explained what was going on. They had ‘liked’ different things throughout the house, like you do on Facebook. Here are a few of the things they ‘liked’ that made me smile.
Our Christmas Tree
Each Christmas we have a couple of different trees. Our candy tree, which my mom decorates and has a cute sugary theme, and our family tree which has a wide assortment of every ornament we’ve ever been given or made in school. I love this tree because it is filled with so many, many good memories.
Our Snow Cone Maker
My family takes Snow Cones very seriously. We bought this back in the summer and since we bought it, we’ve literally had Snow Cone O’Clock every night. My dad has even turned it into a sort of science and he knows exactly the right combination of ice, Kool-aid, and water to create the tastiest of snow cones.
My Bamboo Plant
I’ve had this plant for over a year and a half and it’s still living (that’s no small accomplishment)! Every morning this plant brings a smile to my face and I love that this plant was liked.
The Bear
My parents bought this from a Scout Auction years ago and it’s been sitting on the top landing of our stairs ever since. We’ve had so much fun with this random bear. For example, there may be a video floating around of the time we put it next to my dad in his bed while he was sleeping… his reaction when he woke up was priceless.
My Mirror
My sisters are sooo good at note writing and I have countless thoughtful notes from them. Most of these notes I keep in my ‘special box’ in my closet, but a few I have left taped to my mirror as a daily reminder that I am loved. This cute card became yet another reminder that I am cared about and will remain on the mirror with the other notes.
These are only a few places these cute notes were placed, but I think you get the idea. I just love my family and the way I can always count on them to make me laugh and smile. They are the greatest gift I have been given, and if I could, I would put a ‘like’ card on all of them too.

I WANT some of those cards so much.
ReplyDeleteWhat is stopping you from putting like cards on them? Seriously I would just run up to them randomly and stick a like card on them. Admittedly it would be difficult to stick on one Matt, but you could mail him one.

What a darling idea!
ReplyDeleteSo that's where that came from... We were the lucky recipients of one of those. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteWe like you too!
